CRITICAL LOAD / PLAYER SUPPORT
Let’s keep
you moving.
Quick answers, a little guidance, and a real way to reach us.
GETTING STARTED
A few useful answers.
What is the goal?
Help friendly requests reach the exit in good condition. Use service towers to restore them, power and cooling to support your equipment, and security towers to deal with corrupted packets. Check each mission’s briefing and goals before you deploy.
Where can I play?
Critical Load: Rush Hour is being prepared for the App Store on iPhone and iPad, with iOS or iPadOS 16 or later. Public availability will be announced here when the release is live.
Do I need an account or internet connection?
No game account is required. Gameplay and saves work locally on your device. Downloading updates, opening support pages, or contacting us requires an internet connection.
Is the game free?
Yes. The release is free, with no ads or in-app purchases.
How do I unlock towers and upgrades?
Earn research points by completing mission objectives, then open Research. Follow each tower family’s connected path to unlock new equipment and its next generation. Mission progress and earlier research can be required.
Where is my progress saved?
Progress and settings are saved on the device. Use Continue to return to a saved run. The game does not provide an EVOCS cloud account or cross-device save service.
Deleting the app or its data can remove your progress. Please contact support before reinstalling to troubleshoot. Device backups are managed separately by Apple and depend on your settings.
Why can’t I hear the music?
Music plays during active, unpaused missions. Open Settings, enable sound, and check the music and sound-effects volumes. Also check device volume and the selected audio output. Menus and paused missions are intentionally quiet.
Can I adjust motion, difficulty, or performance?
Settings includes Reduced Motion, separate music and effects levels, and Quality or Battery graphics modes. Difficulty choices apply to new runs. Battery mode targets 30 frames per second; Quality mode targets 60, with actual performance depending on the device.
The game stopped responding. What should I do?
Close and reopen the app, then try Continue. Check for an available app update. If the issue returns, send us the mission, the steps that led to it, and your device and system version. Avoid deleting the app while troubleshooting because progress is stored locally.
How do I report a bug or share feedback?
Email contact@evocs.tech with “Critical Load feedback” in the subject. Describe what you expected and what happened. TestFlight users can also use Apple’s feedback tools.
